A shortened name for a target amplification nucleic acid probe test, which offers improved detection of both chlamydia and gonorrhea in comparison to culture. Performed on either a clinician-collected swab from vaginal, cervical, or urethral (male or female) specimens OR a patient-collected urine specimen.
