Forensic DNA Lab

The FBI is the federal agency authorized by the DNA Identification Act of 1994 to issue quality assurance standards governing forensic DNA testing laboratories and to establish and administer the National DNA Index System (NDIS). (QA Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories)
